Dachgauben der Institutsgebäude auf dem Campus SüdLydia Albrecht, KIT

The Institute for School Pedagogy and Didactics (ISD) consists of three chairs that jointly pursue the goal of further developing teacher training at KIT.

Prof. Dr. Britta Klopsch holds the chair for School Pedagogy; Prof. Dr. Ingo Wagner holds the chair for Interdisciplinary Didactics of STEM Subjects and Physical Education and Prof. Dr. Gerd Gidion holds the chair for Vocational Pedagogy with a focus on the didactics of technology.

The chairs work closely together with institutions within and outside KIT in order to bundle the competencies available at KIT and utilize synergies. In this way, the ISD promotes interdisciplinary (subject-)didactic research and builds on KIT's particular strengths in this field.
